Check it out ... for the first time USC has beat UCLA in the U.S. News & World Report rankings!

According to the Los Angeles Times "USC tied with Carnegie Mellon for 23rd among national universities this year; UCLA stands one rung lower, tied for 25th with the University of Virginia and Wake Forest."

Career Planning for Young Professionals

The USC Career Planning & Placement Center in partnership with the 

USC Alumni Association presents a new career series focused on young alumni:

 Young Professionals Career Series, 

Managing and Advancing Your Career, Part 1

Join fellow Trojan alumni in learning how to manage and advance your career as a young professional. This three-hour program agenda will include a networking reception, keynote speaker and interactive employer led round table discussions.

DETAILS: Join the Alumni Club of Downtown LA for another season of USC Away-Game Watching Parties at its official headquarters: ESPN Zone @ LA Live. The private viewing will be in the 19th Hole Bar located on the 2nd floor next to the Sports Arena Gaming Room.

USC Alumni Club of Beverly Hills/Hollywood Game Watching: USC vs. Hawaii

DETAILS: Come enjoy the first away game of the season with USC Alumni and friends at Cabo Cantina. Complimentary appetizers will be passed around: chicken and steak taquitos, sunset rolls, chip and dip platters, cabo sliders and cheese quesadillas. 20% of the proceeds will be donated to the Aluni Club of Beverly Hills/Hollywood scholarship fund for incoming and continuing students.

All USC Alumni are invited to attend the Inauguration of our 11th University President, C.L. Max Nikias on Friday, October 15th. See the postcard below with details and RSVP instructions. USC beats UCLA in Rankings!

This is exciting news for Trojans 'round the world! USC is ranked 23rd in the most recent U.S. News & World Report  rankings. USC has risen 28 places since 1991. And perhaps more importantly, we are now ranked ahead of UCLA (No. 25). This should make all of us very proud of our alma mater, and also provide motivation to continue supporting USC as active and engaged alumni.

Our new President, C.L. Max Nikias is quoted in the article as saying “USC’s rise in academic quality over the past two decades has been unprecedented, and this year’s rankings help confirm this. But our goal is to continue our momentum — and even to escalate it — in order to make this one of the most productive and influential universities in an epoch of global change.”
